I think the best case scenario is that each team plays 14 or 15 games including all of their own division games. They will have to manipulate the schedule to drop some games. That is best case, but I think it will be a lot worse than that. Fantasy leagues are shot and all futures are off.

Just move the playoffs back a week, and add a week 18 for make-up games.

Keep on playing. :)!/

Well if the requirement for playing football is 53 negative test every week the odds of that happening is low .

NFL gonna have to decide if they want to play football or not .

My college team that I pull for had 8 starters out for covid last week.
They did not cancel the game .

They played without the 8 starters

If you have to postpone a game because of a full back with 31 snaps for the entire season what’s the point?

I get it....but they are saying this FB had close contact with six other players very recently including Kamara.....they are awaiting results from those 6 players now....one positive game PPD and it's way too late to make that one up I would think on Mon or Tues. This is just a complete mess

Saints fullback Michael Burton cleared after receiving false positive COVID-19 test result

New Orleans Saints fullback Michael Burton has been cleared to play after receiving an initial positive COVID-19 test on Saturday.

Burton was retested to confirm the diagnosis and it was determined that the initial result was a false positive, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

The news comes after a busy day for the NFL in regards to new, positive COVID-19 cases. Patriots quarterback Cam Newton and Chiefs practice squad QB Jordan Ta'amu both tested positive for COVID and were placed on the reserve/COVID list, resulting in Sunday's Patriots-Chiefs matchup being postponed until either Monday or Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, the Titans placed defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons on the reserve/COVID list after it was reported another player and two staff members tested positive, adding to the growing number of Tennessee players and personnel affected by the virus following the club's Week 3 game against the Vikings.

As of now, the Vikings have no positive cases and are set to face the Texans on Sunday as scheduled while the Titans' game versus the Steelers will now take place in Week 7.

Another false positive, that may be a bigger epidemic than COVID in the near future

Our summer baseball league tested each player upon arrival. We had 3 positives and 3 contacts. Those players quarantined for their 10 days to 2 weeks. No one got retested unless they felt sick. A total of 22 teams competed in the Northwoods League this year which amounts to 770 college players. An equipment manager for 1 team tested positive for Covid and shut that team down for 4 games. The rest of the league completed 60 games which included riding on buses together and doing what 18-21 year olds do at night.
Logically thinking, why test every day unless someone is actually sick?

I don't think moving the SB is an option which pretty much locks in the playoff sequence, but like someone said, they can play an extra week of regular season games and utilize the pre SB dead week. This is the new normal, but the odds are low that every team plays 16 games.
